Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep has brought Hollywood to Colliers Wood.
Sequences for the Iron Lady, a new film in which the star plays Margaret Thatcher, were shot at the newly re-opened Merton Studios.
The facility, formerly the home of the Bill before the programme was dropped last year, has been refurbished and relaunched under new owners with state-of-the-art 3D filming equipment.
But it was an old House of Commons set at the Deer Park Road complex that attracted its biggest name to date. The double Oscar-winner arrived earlier this year to shoot scenes for her upcoming film, which also stars Jim Broadbent and Richard E Grant.
The owners of the 220,000 square foot studio complex said an official launch event, showcasing the centre’s on-site 3D editing suite, will take place on March 17. Media companies have already hired office space at the site, they said.
