Holders Staines Town reached the final of the Middlesex County FA Senior Challenge Cup with a 4-1 win over Hendon last Tuesday.
The visitors made the brighter start, with Staines keeper Louis Wells making good saves to deny Brian Haule and ex-Kingston Academy player Belal Aite-Ouakrim.
But Staines never looked back after taking a 19th-minute lead, Howard Newton turning smartly and driving low past keeper Nick Morgan.
Ten minutes later, Scott Taylor got on the end of a flowing move to make it 2-0 after clipping home from Dean Thomas’s lay-off.
The game was virtually over as a contest six minutes before the break when Roscoe Dsane beat the offside trap and showed great composure to beat Morgan.
Hendon pulled one back in the 53rd minute. Although Wells made a flying save to deny Scott Cousins, Dave Diedhiou followed up to tap home for the visitors.
But Staines restored their three-goal advantage in the 68th minute when Taylor unselfishly squared for Dsane to fire home.
Warren Harris was unlucky not to add a fifth when his fine drive was fingertupped over by Morgan.
Staines will play Hayes & Yeading United in the final at Harrow Borough FC on the evening of Monday, April 25.
Staines’ league game with Maidenhead United, originally scheduled for that day, will now be played on Tuesday, April 19.
