Worcester Park thumped Warlingham, who are just two places below them in Combined Counties League Division One, 7-1 on Saturday.
As Warlingham defended desperately, it took Park 24 minutes to make the breakthrough when Carl Chaney’s pull back from the right was converted by the sliding Gary O’Leary.
It was 2-0 thanks to Gary Knowlden’s strike in the next attack and Park scored twice more before the break.
In the 41st minute, a long punt downfield found James Dunning in full flight and he converted smartly before O’Leary headed home a right-wing cross in first-half stoppage time.
Warlingham came out fighting in the second half but Park’s defence, marshalled by Darren Beale, coped well.
And Park bagged a fifth on the hour. After linking up with Dan Dunning down the left, skipper Gary Knowlden found the rampaging Chaney who fired home a thunderbolt.
From the restart, Warlingham surged upfield and, although King made an excellent save, Higgins seized on the loose ball to make it 5-1.
Park again went on the attack and, after taking a quick return pass from Chaney, the hard-working Joe Cheeseman swivelled and scored in the far corner.
James Williams completed the rout after 82 minutes.
