Budding primary school artists have been competing to have their painting featured on a royal wedding card.
The Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Chrissie Hitchcock, has invited children from all of Kingston’s primary schools to paint a picture for the chance to feature on the borough’s Prince William and Katherine Middleton wedding card.
Each school has chosen the best three pictures and they will be displayed in John Lewis’ Place to Eat until Sunday, April 17, for you to judge.
Mayor Hitchcock said: “Over the past the year I have visited many primary schools in the borough and have seen firsthand the fantastic artwork that Kingston’s pupils produce at our schools.
"I thought this would be the ideal opportunity for these budding artists to gain the recognition they deserve - and what better way than having their art featured on the borough’s Royal wedding card to Prince William and Katherine Middleton?”
