William and Catherine will be licking guests on the day of the Royal Wedding rather then giving the customary wave.
That is because the cute canine couple will be welcoming visitors to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home on April 29, as the animal charity offers free entry to visitors across its three sites.
William and Catherine - a pair of pooches - are just two of the home’s new arrivals given royal names along with an excited Majesty, tennis ball-loving Philip, and attention seeking Harry.
While guests can watch a live screening of the real Wills and Kate wedding as they enjoy tea, cake, bunting and children’s games, the dogs will be tucking into their own slice of doggy wedding cake.
Customer service manager Carlton Spears said: “Staff and residents at Battersea are really looking forward to the Royal Wedding day and we’re hoping lots of visitors will come and join us to celebrate this momentous occasion.”
“It would be wonderful if we rehomed lots of dogs and cats on April 29 to mark the Royal Wedding.
“We’ve got hundreds of princess pooches and majestic moggies all looking for their own perfect union and a palace to call home, so if anyone is thinking about getting a new pet we would urge them to get in touch.”
