Molesey turned up at the Leg of Mutton Stadium knowing they needed to better Camberleys result to clinch third spot, or win their game by 5 goals more than Camberley if Camberley did win.
There were yet more changes for the Moles as they were forced to play youth team right midfielder Ricci McLoud at right back and Doug Ford moved into the centre of defence as Molesey patched up team looked to finish the season on a high.
The match started slowly as the small amount of wind whipped up the copious amounts of dust in the middle in to everyones eyes and made gaining a foothold in midfield a difficult task.
The first half an hour saw little in terms of goal mouth action with Reggie Savage missing the target twice and Colin Harris making one good save with his feet the only events of note.
But then Reggie Savage forced the Mole Valley 'keeper into a good save which won the Moles a corner which lead to the first goal.
The corner was easily caught by the goalkeeper but his quick throw out was intercepted well by Ashley Lodge. Lodge took the ball out wide and swung the ball in to the edge of the box.

James McShane broke clear with the ball and when he looked to play the ball inside a defender fell on to the ball and was adjudged to have used his hands and the referee showed no hesitation in pointing to the spot.
Their was a lot of pressure on this penalty as not only was it a chance to double theMoles lead in their race for third, but if converted it would be the Moles 100th league goal of the season.

Molesey looked to put the game out of sight before half time when James McShane swung in a corner from deep which ended up needing the 'keeper last ditch leap to touch it on to the bar and clear.
However, Molesey were pegged back right on the stroke of half time when Reggie Savage got sloppy with possesion inside his own half and it allowed Richard Monan to steal the ball from him and place it into the corner of the net.
The first 20 minutes of the second half wereall about Reggie Savage and his wayward shooting.
The striker who is usually lethal in front of goal managed to miss three efforts from a combined total of around ten yards.
Molesey were reminded that the game was stillin the balance when Monan headed a cross narrowly wide on the hour mark.
Molesey managed to restore thir two goal lead in the 67th minute when Joe Pratley-Jones feigned along throw and played it short to Ashley Lodge.
Lodge lobbed it back to Pratley-Jones who volleyed a cross straight to Michael Riggon who finished into the corner with some style.
