Sutton Schools U11 were unable to get the three points they needed to maintain their title push in a lacklustre 0-0 draw at Dacorum Schools in Berkhamstead on Saturday.
Sutton had most of the early play with Ellis Mottley working well down the right but failed to take their chances even though George Miller and Joseph Sampah did go close.
With the score still 0-0 at half time, Sutton stepped up the pace in the second half but could not break down the Dacorum defence whose ‘keeper was in great form. Josh Barnard in the Sutton goal also had to make some crucial saves as the game petered out into a disappointing draw for Sutton.
Sutton player of the match with a typically energetic performance in midfield was Charlie Quin.
