A team of firefighters blew away the competition in a “plane-pull” competition at Biggin Hill airport.
The charity event in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity, saw the team from Croydon Fire Station White Watch, pull a 27 tonne F146 plane over a 50 metre course.
The competition started with six teams representing BMW Bromley, Bromley College, Conway's, Bromley Glades Police and two teams from Environmental Services at Bromley Council.
The top four teams then went through to the second round, before the final saw the London Fire Brigade and BMW Bromley go head to head, with the firefighters winning by 1.2 seconds.
Event organisers said they would like to thank those involved in organising the day, especially Biggin Hill Airport who sponsored the event.
A similar event will be held next years, those interested should contact Terry Gooding on terry.gooding@london-fire.gov.uk for more information.
