Junior cricketers have batted and bowled in front of former Prime Minister John Major to raise cash for a good cause.
Mr Major welcomed two students from his former school – Rutlish in Merton Park – to take part in a charity match in Cambridgeshire last week.
Patrick Tilling and Evan Watson played for Dame Norma Major’s 11 last Friday. Patrick made 64 not out, and Evan took three wickets for nine, against a team of junior internationals and former county players.
They have now been invited to join the team, which raises money for learning disability charity Mencap.
