Wandsworth's three constituencies are populated with more skilled workers than many others across London, according to new research.
Analysis published last week by the University and College Union (UCU) ranked the 632 parliamentary constituencies in England, Scotland and Wales according to the percentage of working age people (16-64) who have no qualifications.
On average, 11.3 per cent of people in a London constituency have no qualifications - but Putney, Tooting and Battersea all beat the average statistic. In Putney, only 5.8 per cent of people have no qualifications, making it joint 60th out of the capital's 73 constituencies in a table topped by the worst performers.
Tooting recorded 5.1 per cent of people with no qualifications while Battersea has just 4.5 per cent with no qualifications.
UCU general secretary, Sally Hunt, said: "London is a city full of contrasts when it comes to educational achievement."
