A 24-year-old man has today been convicted of firearms offences after a six-day trial.
Cameron Wesley Emanuel, of Willington Road, Clapham, was found guilty of possesion of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition without a certificate at Inner London Crown Court.
He was arrested by police after gunshots were heard in Clapham Park Road at 10.20pm on March 21. Officers found shell casings at the scene and Emanuel, who was carrying a gun, was arrested.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
Emanuel was taken to a south London police station and charged the following day by officers from the Metropolitan Police's Operation Trident team.
He has been remanded in custody until sentencing, which is due to take place on August 26 at Inner London Crown Court.
