Two teenagers have appeared in court charged with the murder of 20-year-old Mahad Mohammed on a Battersea estate.
Jermaine Sawyers, 18, of no fixed abode and Omar Harrison, 18, of Kenmore Road, Harrow, spoke only to confirm their names, ages and addresses at Croydon Magistrate's Court earlier today.
Mr Sawyers wore a blue cardigan with white stripes over a dark blue T-shirt, and blue jeans. Mr Harrison, sitting alongside him in the dock, was dressed in a dark, long-sleeve polo shirt with a white collar, and dark blue jeans.
Their brief hearing was watched by about a dozen of their family and friends, who sat and stood at the back of the courtroom.
The pair were remanded in custody by magistrates, who told them to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday for a bail application.
Mr Mohammed, of Sporle Court, in Battersea's Winstanley Estate, was found with stab wounds outside Pennethorne House, in Wye Street at 1.30am on June 22. He was pronounced dead at 2.05am.
