A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the attempted murder of Croydon PC Wayne Stevens.
Damian Divine, 26, of no fixed address, appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court accused of shooting the officer in the arm in South Croydon on July, 15.
He is also charged with possession of a firearm and using a firearm with intent to resist arrest.
Mr Divine was remanded to appear at Kingston Crown Court on August 2.
PC Wayne Stevens had to undergo surgery after a bullet from the gun shattered his elbow when he was shot at 10pm on July 15 in Kingsdown Road following a routine patrol.
Demar Provan, 21, of no address, and Adewale Ogunsanya, 22, of Streatham, have been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition in connection with the incident. They have both been remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court at a later date.
And another man, Jason Anpomah, 20, appeared in a Belfast court last week charged with assisting an offender.
