Residents' thoughts are wanted on how to make Wandsworth an active and healthy place.

The Active Wandsworth strategy runs from 2011 to 2016 to increase participation in sport and physical activity by inspiring people and helping provide more places where they can be active.

The scheme is seeking the views of the borough, especially from people that currently play no sport or take part in any physical activity.

The group brings together the council, NHS Wandsworth as well as schools, further and higher education with local sports clubs and organisations.

Cabinet member for environment and culture, Councillor Jonathan Cook, said: "We want everyone in Wandsworth to have their say on how physical activity and sport is shaped and managed in the borough to ensure they are provided with the facilities they want and the chance to take part in the activities that really interest them.

"We also want to empower local organisations to continue to play a key role in providing facilities and inspiring people to get active, and will work with them to help make Wandsworth one of the healthiest inner London boroughs."
