A seven-year-old boy from Wandsworth has been selected as one of 10 finalists in a supermarket giant's ice cream competition.
Sainsbury's contest challenged children aged seven to 14 to invent a spooky ice cream flavour for Halloween, with the winner's invention being made and sold in stores nationwide.
And Gus Healey was named a finalist after submitting his flavour - Cobweb Crunch - which comprises vanilla ice cream with bits of Oreo biscuit and strands of chocolate sauce.
Gus has been invited on an all-expenses paid trip to London, along with the other finalists, where the winning recipe will be unveiled at Sainsbury’s city offices on August 19.
Harsimran Singh, Sainsbury’s store manager in Wandsworth, said: "We’re really pleased that Gus has got this far in the competition.
"I’ve got a feeling that his Cobweb Crunch recipe will be a hard one to beat."
