A Brazilian man who was murdered inside a brothel was working there as security, it has emerged.
Carlos Roberto Oliveria, who was living in Battersea but originally from Brazil, was stabbed in the heart inside a flat, above a shop in Watling Avenue, Burnt Oak , at about 3.50am on Saturday, July 16.
A postmortem examination found the 27-year-old, who was thought to have been living on the Patmore Estate, died of a single stab wound to the heart.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned at North London Coroners Court on Thursday, July 21.
Mr Oliveria's family have flown in from Brazil since the attack.
The brothel was raided by police and closed down just three months ago, in mid-April, but it reopened and the landlord has since told officers he was unaware it was back in business.
Another man was stabbed at the property that morning. He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington where he was treated for his injuries and subsequently discharged.
