Jurors failed to reach a verdict this afternoon on whether Richard Davies Jones murdered his wife Laura in Ashtead in December.

After a trial lasting three weeks, the jury at Guildford Crown Court were sent out before lunch to consider a verdict, following the judge's summing-up.

But after an afternoon of deliberations they were unable to reach a verdict and have been sent home to reconvene tomorrow morning.
