Lambeth has polled eighth in a survey of the worst London boroughs for bicycle theft.
Cyclists in the borough reported 1,335 bike thefts to the Metropolitan Police between June 2010 and May 2011.
There were 22,536 reported thefts across the capital during the same period - a fall of 3 per cent from last year.
Westminster topped the survey, with 1,788 bikes stolen.
