Epsom & Ewell Council is seeking residents’ views on sites that have been identified for possible future housing developments.
From Monday, August 1 people will be able to make their views on these potential sites known by taking part in a public consultation which runs until October 24.
After a 2010 consultation, most people said that they wanted the council to continue with the current approach of building all future new homes within the existing urban area. and the council has said it is committed to this approach.
Councillor Michael Arthur, chairman of the planning policy sub-committee, said: “It is very important that we identify sites for development to meet our housing need or we could find ourselves in a situation where the future of our borough is planned by appeal and is not therefore determined locally.”
