A former Coronation Street star paid a visit to Putney to open the RSPCA's newly furbished animal hospital shop.
Adam Rickitt cut the ribbon to the store on Saturday, July 23, while the Putney Animal Hospital, in Clarendon Drive, celebrated its annual summer fair.
RSPCA Putney Animal Hospital spokeswoman, Angela Grigg, said: "After many years, our tired and sleepy shop with its eclectic mix of goods desperately needed a makeover.
"For a long time we have struggled with space and we desperately needed to improve the space and layout.
"There is now plenty of room to browse and wheelchair users are now able to easily access the shop via the newly constructed ramp."
The charity is currently appealing for donations for a new autoclave machine and other veterinary equipment.
Donations should be sent to Angela Grigg, RSPCA Putney Animal Hospital, 6 Clarendon Drive, Putney, London SW15 1AA, with cheques made payable to the RSPCA.
