Two 17-year-olds have been found guilty of involvement in an armed robbery.
The pair were part of a group of seven suspects, who robbed a food and wine convenience shop in Hawke Road, Upper Norwood, on February 25.
The group entered the shop wearing hoods or masks and as one suspect used an imitation handgun to threaten staff, the others stole money, alcohol and cigarettes from behind the counter.
One of the 17-year-olds was identified after removing his hood in the shop, he was later arrested on March 3.
The second suspect was identified from fingerprints left behind at the scene on a pack of cigarettes. He was arrested by officers on March 25.
Both were charged with robbery and possession of a firearm after being found guilty at Inner London Crown Court. The teens are due to be sentenced on August 16.
Detective Constable Vicky Bailey, from the Metropolitan Police's Flying Squad said: "These young men thought nothing of using a firearm to terrify and intimidate people doing their jobs.
"The guilty verdict sends a clear message that the use of firearms, imitation or otherwise, will not be tolerated. These young men will now have time to consider their actions in prison."
"There are still five outstanding suspects in this case and enquiries continue.
"I would urge anyone with information to come forward and call police on 0208 247 4804 or alternatively if you wish to remain anonymous contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
