Trading standards on the hunt for giant lighters
Officers from Croydon trading standards are on the hunt for giant disposable lighters which could severely burn people or cause explosions.
There have already been a number of serious incidents around the UK, and the lighters have been found to fail a number of basic safety tests.
Retailers who have already purchased stock of these items are being urged to check with their suppliers and ask for appropriate safety standard certification.
