Primary school pupils have raised more than £10,000 to help fund an educational project in Pakistan's flood-affected areas.
The impressive sum was raised by youngsters at Gatton Primary School, in Gatton Road, Tooting, through appeals to family and friends and profits from cake and bric-a-brac sales.
Classes competed in raising cash - with the final tally being £10,147.57.
Co-headteachers at the school, Rifat Batool and Hoosen Randeree, have since presented the donation to international relief agency Muslim Aid.
They said: "We hope that this small donation will serve as an example of how children in this country can give for children in other countries who are less fortunate than them."
Muslim Aid's chief executive, Syen Sharfuddin, said he was "delighted" to receive the donation from the school.
