A six-year-old boy is recovering at home after crashing a mini-motorbike at the weekend.
The child was rushed to St George's Hospital, in Tooting, with "serious" head injuries and was treated as a priority.
It is understood the child was driving the 60mph two-wheeler in Byne Road, Carshalton, when the accident happened.
Two ambulances were seen outside a house in the street on Sunday afternoon (July 24) at around 3pm.
It is also not known whether the boy actually lived on Byne Road or was visiting friends or relatives.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3.15pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a mini-motorbike."
