Sports fans are being invited to help kick start fundraising at a charity sports day.
The David Lloyd Club in Raynes Park is opening its doors for the event, which will feature tennis competitions, outdoor aerobics and fun children’s activities, on July 29 from 9am to 4pm.
Sports’ celebrities, from the world of rugby, soccer, tennis and golf have backed the day, which will raise funds for True Volunteer Foundation to build a network of schools in Vietnam.
Sue Mapping, former international tennis player, who is helping organise the event said: “I am passionate about sport at all levels, be it professional or grass roots, and I am particularly looking forward to this event in support of True Volunteer Foundation.”
Entry is £5 per adult and £3 per child. Tickets can be bought on the day or booked in advance via the True Volunteer Foundation website at truevolunteer.org.
