Feathered friends will join beer lovers at Epsom's Barley Mow pub when it holds another of its popular owl show and beer festivals this weekend.
The festival runs from today until Sunday and will showcase 10 different real ales from around the country plus two traditional ciders.
The owls being shown on Saturday belong to local owl keeper Gilbert Kenward, who has been looking after the birds of prey for 50 years.
He will be showing off Barn, Snowy and Eagle owls, among others, between 1pm and 5pm.
Phil Innes, manager of The Barley Mow, said: “The owl show originally came about because one of our regulars, Steve Davies, used to bring his owl Charlie to the pub with him. Charlie came from Gilbert Kenward, so we asked Gilbert if he would bring along a selection of birds and make a real event.
“The owl show is part of our bigger festival weekend and with all the beers and ciders, and live music and a BBQ available, the event’s sure to be a real head-turner.”
