Firemen threw a toaster in the bin after being called to a fire in a house last night.
A crew of Epsom firefighters were called to the house in Heathcote Road, Epsom, at about 11.15pm on Saturday, July 30.
A woman in her 30s called the emergency services after toast caught fire in her toaster.
However, the flames were out by the time they arrived, and all that was left for them to do was to dispose of the electrical appliance, and leave after 15 minutes.
A fire service spokesman said: “They burned the toast and it was coming out of the toaster. It just caught alight.
“We got there and threw it in the bin and went home.”
