A veteran stuntman will recreate a terrifying plunge from Battersea Power Station that nearly killed him to urge people to remember charities in their wills.

Cobham resident Rocky Taylor, 64, is the only person to have appeared in all James Bond films, once taught Cliff Richard judo and was the original Honey Monster in the TV adverts.

However, he was left out of action for three years after breaking his back when a stunt on the set of Death Wish 3 went wrong in September 1985.

Now he is asking members of the public to decide what level of flames he will face when he recreates the stunt at Battersea Power Station on Tuesday, August 2.

They can vote on whether the fire will be barbeque, furnace or inferno on facebook.com/rememberacharity, which will also broadcast the stunt live at 8.30pm.

Mr Taylor is currently film the sequel to Clash of the Titans. Other credits include Titanic, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean.

He said: “I’m thrilled to be involved in this campaign to raise awareness of charitable legacies. I don’t bounce like I used to, but I hope people will tune in and enjoy these stunts.

“As a stuntman, who’s faced danger throughout my career, I know the importance of writing a will and making sure the people that matter to me are looked after.

“Like everyone else, my family and friends will always come first, but I think it would be great if more people, like me, choose to leave a little of what’s left to their favourite charity – I know it would make a huge difference.”
