Teams from across Croydon have been working hard to turn pennies into pounds in this year’s Croydon 100 Challenge.
Eight teams were given £100 and told to use their entrepreneurial nous to turn the sum into the most money possible.
This year’s winner, announced on Thursday, was Natwest Corporate who raised £6,467.50.
In total across the eight teams, Croydon Commitment who runs the event raised £16,486.13.
Ian Robinson of Croydon Commitment said “Once again this year’s Croydon 100 Challenge has generated some fantastic support from local business and schools.
“The efforts of all the teams involved will assist Croydon Commitment to continue to support many other charities and organisations throughout the Borough”.
The UK Border Agency team, the previous year’s victor, came a very close second and scooped the Enterprise Award for demonstrating original thinking and a great deal of bravery having organized a firewalk to help raise money during the challenge.
