Poets wrote Olympics-inspired pieces for a literature competition.
The winners of the event organised by Sutton Council, were announced at a ceremony at the Europa Gallery on July 27, to mark the one year countdown to the London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
First prize in the 16 and under category went to Dayna Mistry, of Wallington, and the over 16s winner was Penelope Clark, Effingham.
The competition, where writers had to write a piece reflecting one the Olympic themes, heroes, was open to all those who live and work in the borough.
