Police are hunting for a dim-witted thief held up budget superstore Poundland earlier this week and made off with just a handful of notes and coins.
On Monday, August 1, the man walked into the shop, on Central Road, in Worcester Park, and shouted at the assistant demanding money.
Before she could react he had pushed her to the floor and scooped up the small amount of cash in the till before escaping along Central Road on a bike.
Bizarrely the man then returned to the store minutes later and wiped down the till without realising he had been caught on nearby CCTV.
Police would like to speak to the man in the image below as he may have vital information about this incident that could assist their investigation.
If you witnessed the incident or know this man’s identity please contact Detective Constable Ian Griffith at Sutton CID on 020 8649 0777.
Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
