A series of services are taking place across Wandsworth this week to commemorate all those who have fallen in war for this country.
On Remembrance Day, Friday, November 11, a service is being conducted by Cannon Simon Butler at the Battersea Park War Memorial in the park.
The service begins at 10.45am, with a two minutes silence starting at 11am.
A plaque has been erected in Roehampton High Street to commemorate Private Twyford, a soldier who enlisted when he was 14-years-old.
The mayor of Wandsworth will unveil the plaque on Friday at 1.30pm, which coincides with the 90th anniversary of the Poppy Appeal.
On Remembrance Sunday itself, a special service is being held at St Mary's Church, in Battersea Church Road.
Canon Butler will take the service and members of the Australian Royal Victoria Regiment will be attending.
At the Holy Trinity Church in Ponsonby Road, Roehampton a service will start at 10am conducted by the Rev Jim McKinney.
At 10.50am there will be a procession to the war memorial on Roehampton Heath, Medfield Street where wreaths will be laid and the names of the fallen read out.
St Nicholas Church in Church Lane, Tooting is holding a Remembrance Sunday service commencing at 10.30am.
There will be activities for children during the event.
