A man has been sentenced to six years in prison after stabbing another driver in a road rage attack.
Jason Bradley, 43, from Tadworth, was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on November 10 after being charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife.
Bradley was driving along Dorking Road in Tadworth on February 2 this year when he began driving aggressively behind another vehicle. When both cars stopped at the junction between Pebble Hill Road and Headley Common Road, Bradley got out of his vehicle and shouted abuse at the driver in front.
The two vehicles continued to Boxhill Road where Bradley pulled his car out in front of the victim forcing them to stop and got out of his car.
He then opened the other driver’s car door and stabbed them in the arm. Detective constable Andy Cooper of Epsom CID, said: "This was a vicious attack on another road user and I want to reassure residents that incidents of this nature are rare.
"Bradley has a previous history of violence and I am extremely pleased with the sentence handed down in court which reflects the seriousness of his actions that day."
