A new exhibition of watercolours inspired by Britain’s greatest river will run from November 22.
The Fountain Gallery in East Molesey is holding the Andrew Blyth exhibition until December 4.
Mr Blyth, owner of the gallery, was inspired by the changing character of the Thames from the wide open grandeur of the estuary up to the architectural refinement of Hampton Court Bridge.
His paintings explore the views with an impressionistic eye, focusing on the light’s reflection on the river. He said: “The Thames has always fascinated artists and writers. “Canaletto, Whistler and Monet’s views have not changed much since they were painted.”
