A magistrate has been dismissed for not attending court enough.
Mr Anthony Strong JP, a magistrate on the Sutton bench, was barred by the Office for Judicial Complaints it was announced this week.
It was decided by the Office Mr Strong had failed to complete the minimum setting required of a magistrate.
Mr Strong had also not kept in touch with the Local Advisory Committee.
A Conduct Investigation Panel found that Mr Strong had failed to fulfil his sitting obligations and perform his magisterial duties.
The Lord Chief Justice and the Lord Chancellor agreed with the recommendation of the panel and have removed Mr Strong from the Magistracy.
