By Clare Osborn; Wimbledon Park

I have only just found out that under the proposed changes my representative in parliament will be the MP for Mitcham instead of the MP for Wimbledon.

Under the proposals Wimbledon is subject of a brutal carve up.

I live only 15 minutes walk from Wimbledon town centre, where I do the majority of my shopping, eating out and where I spend my leisure time.

I also walk my dog on the common and spend time in the Village.

I do not have any links to Mitcham. I have nothing against Mitcham, but I simply do not feel that I have any stake in that community. I do, however, feel part of the Wimbledon community.

To add insult to injury, under the proposals the local allotment site where I have tended a plot for many years is being given away to PUTNEY!

I only realised this after contacting our local MP Stephen Hammond. I am informed that poor Stephen and his wife (who live in Wimbledon Park) are being taken from Wimbledon and given to Putney.

I urge people to look at the proposed changes on the Boundary Commission website to see how it will affect them. The initial consultation ends on December 5.
