One of Sutton's oldest residents turned 105 on Tuesday.
Margaret Fribbins was congratulated by the Mayor of Sutton Gerry Jerome and enjoyed a party with all the other residents at Crossways Nursing Home, Sutton.
Her grandson Derek Adams, 52, said: "The last time I checked, she was the 36th oldest woman in the UK."
"During World War Two she worked in the munitions factory and made parachutes."
He was unsure as to what to buy the 105-year-old but settled for flowers and chocolates which she shared with her friends.
Sarah Stacey, 42, who works at Crossways Nursing Home said: "It was a lovely day, we had a traditional English tea. It was brilliant and she really enjoyed the day.
"There is no way she looked 105."
Mrs Fribbins told her guests the secret to old age was one sherry a week.
