More than one hundred people attended a fashion event hosted by journalist turned designer Eve Pollard last week in support of the Children’s Trust.

Guests packed Tadworth Court, Tadworth on November 14 for the charity event which is expected to raise nearly £3,000.

Lucinda’s Autumn Fashion Show was fronted by boutique Lucinda’s in Purley and featured their latest Autumn fashions including Eve Pollard's collection for the older woman.

Ticket sales and 10 percent of sales on the evening and purchases from Lucinda’s of Purley until the end of the month, will be donated to the Children’s Trust. Former editor of the Sunday Express and Sunday Mirror, Mrs Pollard, who is in her 50s, said: “I started this dress collection for people like me whose upper arms aren’t as good as they used to be. I wanted a dress that had a bit of give and suited the older woman.

"I designed a range and very luckily for me Lucinda’s has taken it on and we have been able to put on this charity event for the Children’s Trust which is a very worthy cause.”
