A jewellery designer from Epsom has donated an 18 ct white gold and diamond pendant worth thousands of pounds to charity.

Designer goldsmith and diamond expert, Roger Elliot, donated the half-carat diamond necklace to a charity call in support of the Children’s Trust in Tadworth.

Diana Jonesco, who attended a charity ball at London’s Savoy on September 24, had her ticket, which cost £20, picked out in a draw to win the £4,000 diamond prize.

She was invited to the design studios to pick out the bespoke diamond necklace generously donated by Mr Elliott.

He said: “I am delighted to have been able to support The Children’s Trust by donating an item from my ‘Oyster’ design Jewellery for the Diamond Tree at the charity event.”

Diana Jonesco said: “It was a wonderful evening raising money for such a worthwhile cause. “I still can’t believe I picked the lucky ticket.”

The evening raised £110,000 for the charity based in Tadworth which provides care, therapy and education for children with multiple disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
