Images of a man wanted by police in connection with a robbery on the night of the riots have been released.
The incident took place at a shop on London Road at around 6.20pm during the disorder on August 8 with one of the suspects assaulting the shop owner a number of times.
Detective Sergeant Stephen Spooner, from Croydon CCTV Unit investigating the case, said: “There was obviously a lot of looting going on at that time, but this incident was particularly nasty as one of the suspects appears to have assaulted the shop keeper a number of times.
“We are very keen for the public to help us in identifying the person pictured so that we can progress our investigations - if you recognise this person, then please get in touch.”
