Shirley residents and businesses will be given crime prevention tips.
Officers from the Shirley Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) will hold the crime prevention day on Wednesday, November 30 at the Shrublands Advice and Coffee Shop.
The team will be available from 11am until 4pm, with crime prevention advice on a whole range of issues, including theft, burglary, motor vehicle crime and personal safety.
PC Tess Abrahams from the Shirley SNT, who organised the session said: “In the run up to Christmas, thinking about keeping your home and valuables safe and secure is something that is on people’s minds even more than usual.
“We hope to see as many residents as possible on 30 November to talk to them about ways to avoid being targeted by thieves and burglars.
“It’s also a good opportunity for local people to come along and tell us about any problems or issues related to crime or antisocial behaviour that they may be having.
“We’re there for them and once we know about a problem, we can set about solving it and improving the lives of local residents.”
