Neighbours in the Wimbledon Park Estate learned ballroom dancing together last Saturday to get to know each other better.
The Strictly Community event was held in St Paul's Community Centre, in Inner Park Road, Southfields.
Around 35 residents socialised over drinks and homemade cakes, as well as snacks provided by local supermarket Budgens.
They then took part in a dance class lead by ACW Dance Studios principal Alan Wake.
It was the first event of it's kind, with plans for more community focused activities planned for the future.
Philip Van Wyk, of Albert Drive, who has lived in the area for eight years organised the event to meet his neighbours.
He said: "It was a huge success, the project has been given a life for the future.
"It was great to see some people who lived in the area for 50 years who did not know what the town hall offered."
