Royals and celebrities joined rescue dogs on the red carpet last week in support of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's major fundraiser - the annual Collars and Coats Gala Ball last week.
The event took place at Battersea Evolution, located in Battersea Park, in the presence of the charity's president HRH Prince Michael of Kent and HRH Princess Michael of kent.
But it was the Home's Guard of Honour, made up of dozens of Battersea dogs, who stole the show as they lined the red carpet entrance.
Host of the evening Peter Andre was joined by other celebrities including Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel-Horwood, dance instructor Louis Spence and Fawlty Towers actress Prunella Scales.
Mr Revel-Horwood said: “I think the event is spectacular almost as spectacular as Battersea itself. I thought the dogs were fantastic and so well looked after. I want them all to find homes.”
Speaking at the Event, CEO of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Claire Horton, said: “Battersea is now in its 150th year of caring for lost, unwanted and abandoned animals and our Collars and Coats Gala Ball really shows why our charity has earned a place in the heart of the nation
