Police have been searching Beddington Park this morning for further clues after the rape of a woman.
The victim, in her 20s, was attacked from behind on London Road, near the Grange Restaurant before being taken to the park where she was sexually assaulted.
The attack occurred between 10.30pm and 11.15pm on Sunday November 20.
This morning’s search is wider than one carried out on Monday when police cordoned off the whole of London Road and carried out a finger-tip search of the area.
DI Neil Matthews of the Sapphire Command, Sutton Police Station, said: "This was an appalling vicious attack on a vulnerable individual.
"It is essential that anyone who may have seen the incident at any stage come forward.
"I must stress this type of incident is very rare."
