The groper who assaulted a woman as she stepped off a nightbus is being hunted by police.

The man and his 20-year-old victim both left the N133 at Upper Green West in Mitcham.

The attacker tried to strike up a conversation with his victim, then pushed her to the ground and grabbed her breasts before running off.

Police described the man as a 30-year-old man of Indian appearance.

DC Helen Kearney from Merton CID said: "This is a very upsetting incident for the young victim, and we are very keen to locate and arrest this suspect.

"Please call us if you have any information or may have seen what happened."

The assault took place at about 2.50am on September 21.
