A campaign to tackle rape and sexual assault is being re-launched.
Lambeth Council’s ‘Know the Difference’ campaign is being coordinated in conjunction with national White Ribbon Day (November 24), which works to end violence against women.
Posters with the slogan "Real men know the difference, and so does the law" will be displayed at bus stops, tube stations, pubs, clubs, and public toilets throughout Christmas and the New Year, in an attempt to reduce cases of sexual assault and harassment in the borough.
Cabinet member for communities, Councillor Rachel Heywood, said: “Violence and sexual assault against women and girls is abhorrent and we will do everything in our power to support victims of this crime and bring perpetrators to justice.
“This is about reaching out to the community to let people know there is a network of help and support available to them.”
