A cannabis farm was uncovered this morning as part of the Metropolitan Police's Operation Hawk.
Twenty-one plants, some of which were two feet high, were found growing in a mini-tent in a house in Carshalton.
At the address in Rewley Road, officers swooped at 10 am this morning to discover the plants in the back of a bedroom.
A man and women in their mid-30's were arrested and taken to Sutton Police station.
Sergeant Brendan McWilliams, who led the team of Sutton Safer Neighbourhoods officers who found the cannabis factory, said: “This is a good result. We are determined to crack down on drugs related offenders.”
Today’s local police activity is part of a Met-wide initiative called Operation Hawk - which is launched today to crack down on neighbourhood criminals.
