A teenager accused of stealing a scooter during the Croydon riots has pleaded guilty to robbery.
Shocking footage emerged showing the moment Ryan Kichenside pulled the rider off his bike, as the biker tried to weave through rioters on London Road, Croydon, on August 8.
The 18-year-old also pleaded guilty to one charge of violent disorder and two counts of burglary.
Kichenside shouted "I love you family" as he was remanded in custody until a later date when he will be sentenced.
Judge Roger Chapple told him: "Please be in no doubt, it is going to be a substantial custodial sentence."
A 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged in connection with the incident.
