An elderly man has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Beddington.
The 79-year-old was hit by the vehicle on Croydon Road at the junction with Plough Lane, at around 1.10pm.
The injured man was taken as a priority to St George's Hospital by ambulance.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We sent two ambulance crews and our staff treated a 79-year-old man.
"He had abdominal, back and head pain, but was fully concious and breathing."
Croydon Road remains closed and traffic is queuing in both directions.
Bus routes 407, 410 and X26 are currently being diverted, motorists are advised to avoid the area.
