Police Tasered a man to calm a fight outside a pub.
Officers were called to reports of an assault outside the Greyhound pub in Thames Ditton on Thursday, November 17, at 9.45pm.
When they arrived a fight was taking place in the road and police had to separate the two groups and used a Taser on one man.
Police arrested a 19-year-old, a 21-year-old man, a 47-year-old and a 16-year-old boy, all from Esher, on suspicion of public order affray. All have been bailed until January 5.
Detective Constable Chris Ewan said: “This was a concerning incident between two large groups which could easily have resulted in serious injuries.
“Fortunately officers were quickly able to attend the scene and make a number of arrests and although we have spoken to a number of people who were in the area I am still urging any witnesses to come forward.
“The affray took place in a busy area and I feel certain that members of the public would have seen this incident taking place and I would urge them to get in contact as any information could prove vital to this ongoing investigation.”
